All electrical and electronic products sold in markets around the world
must demonstrate that they function according to existing electrical safety
regulations and standards. These standards and regulations differ from
country to country, with varying degrees of complexity.
At
TÜV, we are fluent in the complex language of electrical safety. Our
testing facilities and expert staff around the world provide electrical
testing and certification services, whether your need is on a local, country
or global scale. Our services include testing and certification for compliance
to many market requirements, including Europe, the United States and Canada.
- Europe
TÜV is a Notified Body for the European Union Low
Voltage Directive, providing testing and certification services
that enable clients to confidently apply the CE Marking to their products.
- United States
TÜV America is an NRTL (Nationally
Recognized Testing Laboratory) capable of performing electrical safety
testing to a variety of UL/ANSI standards.
- Canada
TÜV America is accredited
by the SCC (Standards Council of Canada) as a Certification Body able
to perform electrical safety testing to Canadian requirements.
- China
TÜV America can provide CCC Mark services through our sister organization Jiangsu TÜV,
a CNCA Accredited Testing Laboratory.

As a value-added service, TÜV also
offers the CUE certification program.
CUE is the acronym for our 3-in-1 product certification service for the
Canadian, the United States and European markets.
TÜV will simultaneously determine compliance of your products to
Canadian (CSA/SCC), the United States (UL/ANSI) and European (EN/IEC)
safety standards, thus providing a unique certification service for three
important markets.
For additional convenience, we also offer
clients the opportunity to participate in our ACT
program. Acceptance of Client's Testing (ACT), is a unique program
in which TÜV Product Service authorizes a manufacturers facility
and staff to perform product safety testing, helping organizations reduce
product compliance costs while simultaneously accelerating the compliance
process.
